Congratulations on Your Upcoming Wedding!

Marriage is a beautiful and sacred covenant between a man and a woman, requiring thoughtful preparation and commitment. As you embark on this journey, it is important to allow sufficient time for planning and completing the necessary requirements.

For couples preparing for marriage in the Catholic Church, a minimum of six months is required to complete the necessary paperwork, pre-marital preparation, and sacramental arrangements. This time frame ensures that you receive proper guidance, attend pre-marital counseling or classes, and fulfill all the Church’s requirements before your wedding day.

If you are already civilly married and would like to have your marriage convalidated (recognized and blessed) in the Catholic Church, a preparation period of at least four months is needed. This process allows you to deepen your understanding of the sacrament of marriage and ensures that your union is fully aligned with the teachings of the Church.

We encourage you to begin the process as early as possible to allow for a smooth and meaningful preparation. May your marriage be filled with love, joy, and God’s abundant blessings!
